As Manager, KC-30A Mission Systems, I am responsible for a team of Engineering & Technical Services personnel with Avionics, Electrical, Structures, Hydro-Mechanical and Cabin Safety Engineering Authority, who perform various functions in support of Northrop Grumman Australia CAM Services Provider, MTCH Services Provider and MDO organisations for the RAAF A39 KC-30A MRTT platform. I also continue to use a small percentage of my time to exercise my Engineering Authority for Avionics, Electrical, Hydro-Mechanical and Cabin Safety.

Research carried out on a component of the Detect, Sense, and Act project, where the aim was to produce a vision-based system, incorporated into an unmanned platform, which can perform avoidance manoeuvres autonomously. A literature review was performed of image stabilization techniques and analysis of the various techniques according to performance metrics. A final report was produced, with recommendations carried forward into the project.
